Set Free Philosophy

Lesson Summary

The Set Free Movement is committed to championing holistic freedom and ending modern slavery through community-based action and partnership with other organizations. It all started over 150 years ago with the Free Methodist Church which strongly upheld the value of abolitionism. In 2009, the denomination invited Kevin Austin to lead the Set Free Movement to help end modern-day slavery. Its community-based model includes team trajectories that involve building community, discipleship, and seeking partnerships with other groups.

Ways to Engage: sign up for email updates, Freedom Sunday, fundraising, % for Freedom, shopping in the direction of freedom, and social media engagement.
